About

This site is for international LGBT students to know they are not alone in dealing with homophobia and bigotry in countries with supposed “equality.”

My story centers around homophobia at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. I was a grad student who was left deserted and stranded for standing up and saying “No more mistreatment!” My professor left me stranded. Her union gave her cover for her bigotry, and Carleton has been trying to sweep it under the rug by using neutral accommodation, which is outlawed by their own rules.

Bigotry can be anywhere. We must be vigilant, always. It is all right to fight back. It is all right to stand up. You are not alone.
